Sanjukta has a rich voice and eloquent style of music rendering and carries with her a diverse treasure of Hindustani classical and light classical music forms. Composer, performer and teacher, Sanjukta has performed in India as well as in the USA. She is a disciple of Padma Bhushan Girija Devi of Benaras Gharana and continuing the music tradition of her illustrious guru in the dominant classical genre of Khayal as well as Thumri, Dadra, Tappa, Hori, Chaiti and Kajri. Sanjukta obtained her Bachelors and higher degrees in Hindustani classical vocal music from the University of Rajasthan and the University of Delhi, and then pursued her musical training in Kolkata from late Jog Maya Banerjee of Kirana Gharana.
Pandit Ramesh Misra
Ramesh Misra is acclaimed as one of the most outstanding artist of India today. Son of great sarangi maestro Pt. Ramnath Misra, Ramesh started his initial intensive training at a very tender age from his father and acquired further knowldge and training from the finest musicians of Benaras Gharana Pandit Hanuman Prasad Mishra and late Pandit Gopal Misra. Presently , Ramesh is under the tutelage of the legendary maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar.
In 1959 Ramesh was sent to Pakistan as a cultural delegate by late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India. Both as soloist and accompanist, Pandit Ramesh Mishra traveled all over the world accompanying internationally reputed artists. In addition he has produced numerous recordings including his own solo records and earned a niche in the hearts of millions of music lovers.
Sanjay Ranjan Pal
|Sri Sanjay Ranjan was disciple of the eminent tabla Maestro Late Pt. Shyamal Bose and later continued his training from tabla Maestro Pandit Abhijt Bandopadhyay of FARUKABAD GHARANA.
He accompanied eminent vocalists and instrumentalists viz. Pandit Amiya Ranjan Bandopadhyay, Pt. Nidan Bandhu Bandopadhyay, Pt. Santanu Banerjee, Pandit Samarendranath Sikdar (sarodist), Pandit Debasish Chakraborty (guitar) and others.
